Bramble is an online vegan bakeshop specializing in small sweets, custom cakes and gift boxes in Los Angeles. We provide animal-free options that aren’t just “as good” as traditional fare, but tastier and a whole lot healthier. Our commitment to animals is complimented by environmentally friendly packaging and seasonal, local, non-GMO fruits and herbs whenever possible. We create a conscious option so that every birthday has a cake, every holiday a treat, every wedding has a centerpiece, and that everyone has a delicious, sustainable option.
Bramble was founded by Chef Miel Bredouw. She began her professional career at 13 with her own specialty dessert company. She had her first restaurant job by 15, and continued her working education through the next nine years, including time at the acclaimed Natural Gourmet Institute in vegan pastry.
While working as as sous chef at the famous Mohawk Bend, she noticed vegan guests throwing events had precious few options for desserts and cakes. From this need, Bramble Bakeshop was born.
Miel is a lifelong vegetarian and has been vegan for seven years. Originally from Orcas Island WA, she now resides in Echo Park with her dog, Roux.
